One of the most common and simple home improvements is painting the cabinets to refresh the kitchen. There are a few kits out there that might peak your interest and you might be wondering which one to use. I’ve listed a quick comparison below. Make sure to keep reading to find out my experience with one of them.

When I decided to paint my kitchen cabinets, there weren’t that many all inclusive kits on the market. I had never painted cabinets before so I wanted something quick and easy Nuvo offered just that in a variety of attractive colors. The kit came with two small cans of paint, a brush, and a rolling brush.

What I loved about the kit was that there was basically no prep-work involved, the paint applied thick and smooth, and it dried super quickly. I cleaned the cabinets before painting but there was no need to sand or prime them. I applied paint in the crevasses with the brush and used the roller for the front. The blue paint went on very thick and I only needed one coat, the white however, needed two. Within two hours, I was able to hang the cabinet doors back on. It was a one day project which I really appreciated (especially for a kitchen update).
If you’re thinking about painting your cabinets, I definitely recommend trying a kit. Everyone always asks me how I got my painted cabinets looking so nicely without a sprayer and I tell them Nuvo – It’s definitely been one of my favorite Amazon finds.
